REFELCTION: SECOND GRADING LESSONS

In our second grading period of ICT, I've learned about a lot of things like about the internet access. The two parts of it which is the LAN and the Wireless Broadband Access. And also, I learned how to create HTML for the web design. And of course, we still continued to post more articles.

But of course, there are still those times that I encountered problems. It's unavoidable. And thankfully, I surpassed them. I addressed these challenges through the help of our ICT teacher, Mrs. Vera Cruz.  She taught us and guided us on how to create HTML for the web design. And also to my seatmates and classmates who taught me and guided me on those things.

I will try to enhance my writing skills and knowledge about computer and maybe still continue blogging and creating HTML because for me, this is a fun thing to do. And thank you to our ICT teacher and the subject, I encountered this, blogging and creating HTML. I've learned a lot. And hopefully, I can still post articles again and apply all the things I've learned into it.

The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the proclamation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. It is important to recall the fundamental connection between extreme poverty and human rights, and that people living in poverty are disproportionately affected by many human rights violations.
Government policies alone cannot create the social inclusion that is fundamental to reaching those left furthest behind and overcoming poverty in all its dimensions. The commemoration of October 17 each year, when people living in poverty take the floor and share their experiences, demonstrates how we can achieve greater social inclusion by enabling people from all walks of life to come together to respect the human rights and dignity of people living in poverty. It underscores the importance of reaching out to people living in poverty and building an alliance around their priorities with citizens from all backgrounds to end extreme poverty. It recognizes the important mutual roles and relationships we have with each other based on our common and equal dignity.
The persistence of poverty, including extreme poverty, is a major concern for the United Nations and, at its 72nd session, the General Assembly launched the Third United Nations Decade for the Eradication of Poverty (2018–2027), under the theme “Accelerating global actions for a world without poverty”. It is important that the Third Decade’s inter-agency, system-wide plan of action to coordinate the poverty eradication efforts of the United Nations system includes an effective partnership with people living with poverty.
The International Day for the Eradication of Poverty can strongly complement such initiatives because it aims to ensure that the active participation of people living in extreme poverty and those furthest behind is a driving force in all efforts made to overcome poverty, including in the design and implementation of programs and policies which affect them. Only by creating and nurturing a genuine partnership with people living with poverty will it be possible to build an inclusive world where all people can enjoy their full human rights and lead lives with dignity.

Science Month Celebration 2018: "Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements"

Image result for wavefront accentuating potentials activating technological advancements

"Wavefront: Accentuating Potentials, Activating Technological Advancements" is the theme of the National Science Club Month this 2018. According to the “National Science Club Month” group, the National Science Club Month is being celebrated every  September.

For me, the theme means that we must discover our own inner potential so that we can contribute to technological advancements in our own little ways. Our passion for something can lead us to find ways to make our work more efficient. Contributing to more efficiency is a technology in itself because it helps us make our life easier.

If we discover our potentials as early as now, we will know more about ourselves such as our strengths and our weaknesses. If we know these, we can capitalize on our own strengths and improve our weaknesses so that we can contribute to our society. Who knows, we might be the next scientist, architect, engineer, doctor, teacher or officer out there. Regardless of what occupation we might have, if we accentuate and capitalize on our potentials, we can surely make a difference to make this world a better place - just like how technology does it.
